Millwall chief executive Andy Ambler says Bolton winger Danny Ward is one of several players on the club's radar.

Tottenham pair John Bostock and Andros Townsend are also believed to be potential targets, and Ambler is keen for the Lions to maintain their links with the White Hart Lane club.

Spurs youngster Jon Obika enjoyed a stint on loan at Millwall last season, and Ambler believes securing more loan signings from their neighbours could be an option this term.

"We've talked about Ward and we've talked about players from Tottenham," Ambler told the Southwark News.

"Spurs are a good club for us to go to because they do like to loan their players out.

"When it comes to players who have previously been on loan to League One clubs, they might want to put them into a Championship club now.

"Tottenham like us as an option because, even though Jon Obika didn't get much time on the pitch, they could track him easily and he could go back there for training occasionally.

"We're a perfect fit for them and perhaps that's the area we'll be going for. But some of these players won't become available until the season is about to start because they won't know whether they are needed or not."
